SSRGA recently assisted a local trial team in a personal injury lawsuit for damages brought by a client for the negligence of a property group and security company that left the client with life-altering injuries.
Trial counsel brought in an appellate attorney from SSRGA to join their team at the start of trial to provide trial assistance and ensure the creation of a supportive record for appeal. SSRGA attended the two-week trial in support of trial counsel and became a part of the trial team. Support included assisting in jury selection, identifying objections, and providing feedback during presentation of the case.
Throughout the trial, SSRGA was on hand to consult with the trial attorneys, identify possible issues on appeal, and preserve any errors. At the conclusion of the trial, the jury returned a multimillion-dollar verdict in favor of the client that will give the client compensation for the suffering he experienced.
With this favorable result, the trial team’s proactive approach of bringing in SSRGA appellate counsel during the trial helps to set up the preservation of this favorable result for any future appeal.
