Jonathan R. Jeremias is senior counsel in the firm’s litigation group. Mr. Jeremias is a skilled attorney, with over a decade of experience, serving clients in all aspects of civil and commercial litigation, for both individuals and public and private entities, with particular emphasis on estate and fiduciary litigation, business, commercial and contractual disputes, torts, employment matters (discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower suits), as well as civil rights and constitutional law claims. Mr. Jeremias has practiced in and garnered invaluable experience throughout state and federal courts, surrogate’s courts, as well as arbitrations before FINRA, the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and JAMS. Mr. Jeremias is also experienced in all facets of civil trials and appeals, in addition to having a history of success through alternative dispute resolution and mediation. Mr. Jeremias’ advocacy is matched by his dedication to guiding clients through litigation with the utmost care and constantly striving to obtain the best possible resolution for them.
Mr. Jeremias received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University, and his Juris Doctor from The City University of New York School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the New York City Law Review.
Mr. Jeremias is admitted to the bar of the State of New York, the Federal District Courts for the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York, and Western District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Prior to joining SSRGA, Mr. Jeremias was a partner at McLaughlin & Stern, LLP. In 2024, Mr. Jeremias was recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by New York Super Lawyers and, previously, as a “Rising Star” annually since 2015.
