Jared Paioff is a senior partner of the firm and a member of the firm’s Management Committee. He is an experienced litigator whose practice concentrates on commercial and real estate litigation. He represents a wide range of clients, including real estate owners, operators, developers, joint venturers, office/retail tenants, as well as corporations, partnerships, trusts, and emerging and technology companies, in complex business and property-related disputes.
Mr. Paioff’s clients constantly rely on his guidance and expertise in navigating complicated real estate and business transactions. He works tirelessly to achieve the best possible outcome in the most cost-effective way. Mr. Paioff is recognized for his thoughtful and strategic approach to complex legal matters, blending zealous advocacy with practical judgment.
Mr. Paioff has achieved stellar results for both business entities and individuals in a broad spectrum of cases, including business divorces, partnership/shareholder disputes, director and officer liability matters, contract disputes involving SAAS agreements, MSAs, SLAs, and licensing agreements, labor and employment disputes, and tort and contract-related claims involving financing transactions and equity investments. His real estate practice encompasses disputes over defective construction, commercial leases, air rights, zoning and land use, and purchase and sale agreements. He also provides general counsel to cooperative and condominium boards and their managing agents.
Mr. Paioff has been recognized countless times by New York Super Lawyers in real estate and business litigation. He has been quoted in The New York Times and other publications for his insights on developments in these areas.
Prior to SSRGA, Mr. Paioff practiced law at Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP and served as law clerk to the Honorable Marcy S. Friedman, Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Commercial Division, New York County.
Mr. Paioff is admitted to practice before the courts of the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is an avid golfer and loves spending time with his wife and three beautiful children.
