Emma L. Semerad is an associate in the firm’s litigation department focusing on real estate litigation with a concentration on landlord/tenant disputes, as well as issues pertaining to condominiums and cooperatives.
Ms. Semerad is an experienced litigator who has handled cases involving a broad range of civil matters at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal court.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Semerad represented municipalities across New York State handling all their legal needs including personal injury, civil rights, defamation, and employment. While working at the New York City Law Department, Ms. Semerad was recognized for her legal expertise and dedication by being the honored recipient of the Legal Rookie of the Year Award.
Ms. Semerad received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 with a major in government, and her law degree from New York Law School in 2019.
Ms. Semerad is admitted to the bar of the State of New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York. Ms. Semerad has been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2025
