Chioma R. Deere, Esq. focuses her law practice on wills, trusts, estate planning, nursing home protection, Medicaid planning, probate, and trust administration, using technology to deliver efficient, client-centered services.
Before joining SSRGA, Chioma owned and operated Deere Law Firm in West Palm Beach, assisting clients with estate planning needs, asset protection and wealth preservation strategies.
A native of Jamaica and raised in the Bronx, New York, Chioma earned her Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 2006. After law school, she relocated to Palm Beach County, Florida, beginning her legal career as a law clerk at a boutique litigation firm. She quickly developed her skills as a trial attorney, handling a broad range of commercial and civil litigation matters, with a primary focus on defense.
In addition to her litigation background, Chioma has extensive experience in electronic discovery, serving as a litigator, co-counsel, consultant, and presenter for CLE and CJE programs. She holds a graduate certificate in e-Discovery Project Management and earned her Certified Electronic Discovery Specialist (CEDS) designation in 2019. Her deep understanding of technology continues to benefit her estate planning clients, particularly in areas related to digital assets and information security.
Chioma is actively involved in community, serving as a member of the Florida Bar and various local legal and civic associations. She holds leadership roles with The West Palm Beach (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Philanthropy Committee for Palm Health Foundation, Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, Palm Beach County Black Chambers of Commerce, Sheree Davis Cunningham Black Women Lawyers Association, West Palm Beach (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, and Fin Tech company Changing How Individuals Prosper (CHIP) financial planning professional and Advisory Board member.
Chioma is admitted to practice in Florida, US District Court Middle District of Florida, and the US District Court Southern District of Florida.
Chioma believes strongly in the power of education and frequently presents workshops and webinars on estate planning, probate, trust administration, and nursing home protection.
