Diane K. Roskies is Of Counsel at Schwartz Sladkus Reich Greenberg Atlas LLP, where she practices domestic and international trusts and estates planning and administration.
Diane has experience developing estate plans for U.S. and non-U.S. citizens. Her practice includes estate and gift tax planning, charitable giving strategies, and the preparation of estate and gift tax returns.
Her training includes assisting non-U.S. citizens with the administration and transfer of U.S.-based property and assets, and assisting U.S. citizens with homes and assets abroad.
Her experience also extends to contested trust and estate matters. In one notable case, Diane successfully represented a trustee facing objections from beneficiaries concerning a decline in trust value. Following extensive litigation and multiple court appearances, the court dismissed all objections
and ruled in favor of the trustee.
Before pursuing her legal career, Diane earned a doctorate in educational psychology from Harvard University. This background adds to her approach to estate planning, particularly when advising families who are navigating sensitive personal circumstances, complex family relationships, and the transfer of
wealth across generations. She emphasizes discretion, careful research, and an understanding of each client’s individual circumstances and long-term objectives.
Diane has published articles on domestic and international trusts and estates planning and has been invited to speak before bar associations and professional organizations.
