Sean E. Mitchell, Esq. focuses his practice on real estate, corporate transactions and estate planning, with more than 32 years of legal experience. He represents clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions involving the acquisition, development, leasing and disposition of real estate, including retail, office and industrial properties throughout the United States.
His experience also includes sale-leaseback transactions, real estate and other property financing, corporate and business structuring, and the merger, acquisition and disposition of business entities, including asset and stock, share and membership interest purchase and sale transactions. He also advises clients on estate planning and prepares wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other estate planning documents.
Before relocating to Florida in 2013, Sean was a partner in the real estate group of a large law firm in Philadelphia, where he represented clients in complex real estate and corporate matters. He also served as in-house counsel for two major Philadelphia real estate developers for more than six years collectively. These in-house legal experiences gave him a firsthand understanding of transactions from the client’s perspective and informs his approach to advising businesses and individuals.
After moving to Florida in 2014, Sean joined a boutique law firm and provided legal support for The Regalia and One Thousand Museum Tower, luxury residential condominium developments in Miami-Dade County, focusing on real estate and corporate matters.
Throughout his career, Sean has represented Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, REITs and privately held companies, including real estate development, leasing and management companies. His practice also includes the acquisition, chartering and disposition of private aircraft and yachts.
Sean earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law, his J.D., cum laude, from Widener University School of Law, and his B.A. in International Studies, cum laude, from American University. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Pennsylvania. Additionally, he is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and serves on the Advisory Board of Parkland Cares.
