Elisabeth Porter is a civil litigator representing businesses and individuals in real estate and other commercial disputes in Florida state and federal courts. Over her career, she has practiced at firms of every size, from boutique practices to large firms focused on creditor rights.

Before joining SSRGA, Elisabeth spent more than ten years at a Deerfield Beach-based real estate litigation firm. During the pandemic, she also supported a securities firm, contributing to a team that secured multimillion-dollar judgments in securities fraud class actions.

Earlier in her career, Elisabeth served as an Assistant Public Defender in the West Palm Beach Office of the Public Defender, arguing cases in county, circuit, and appellate courts, including the Fourth District Court of Appeal of Florida and the Florida Supreme Court. Her career highlights include E.A.R. v. State (Fla. 2009).

A New York native, Elisabeth earned her B.A. in Art History from Columbia University, her M.A. from CUNY Hunter College, and her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. She is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Supreme Court. She is a former director and current emeritus member of the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court.
