Monica Offredi concentrates her practice in all areas of marital and family law, including divorce, distribution of marital assets and liabilities, alimony, child custody (called “timesharing” in Florida), parenting, child support, modifications and enforcement, pre/postnuptial agreements, paternity actions, stepparent adoptions, parental relocation, domestic violence actions, dependency actions and many other family law matters. Monica has extensive experience litigating high-conflict divorces with high-net worth clients with complex financial assets and investments. Monica also handles general civil litigation matters, including partition actions and real property disputes.
In addition, Monica frequently serves as a Guardian ad Litem appointed by the Court in contested matters to advocate for the best interest of the child. She has extensive training and experience handing cases where there have been allegations of abuse, neglect, substance abuse or domestic violence.
Immediately prior to joining SSRGA, Monica served as an associate attorney with the Family & Marital practice group at a statewide litigation firm based in Fort Lauderdale. She also owned and operated her own family law firm for over two years.
Monica began her legal career as an Assistant Regional Counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel in Broward County, Florida, Dependency Division.
Monica earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Florida International University where she was consistently on the Dean’s List. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she received the Pro Bono Honors Award. Monica is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
